Aroma Rice Cooker Shrimp Boil

This is a quick and easy shrimp boil with low calorie options made in our Aroma Rice Cooker.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 1/2 lb sausage We used Fresh n Easy Habnero Mango Chicken Sausage.
  • 6 medium Red Potatoes
  • 3 ears sweet corn
  • 3 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 6 tbsp butter We used earth balance omega 3 butter subsitute
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 cup old bay seasoning
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut Red potatoes into 6 equal parts and cut corn on the cob in 4 equal parts or in half than 1 time lengthwise

  2. Place Potatoes, Corn, and water in Aroma Rice Cooker on steam setting.  Cook 5-7 minute with lid closed to parboil the corn and potatoes. 

  3. If using a precooked sausage cut it into around 1 inch slices. If using an uncooked sausage please cook till firm enough to slice.
  4. Strain Water off of potatoes and corn and mix in 3 tbsp butter, all remaining ingredients and old bay then mix well.

  5. Place rice cooker on steam setting again for 20-25 minutes until potatoes are soft.

  6. add other 3 tablespoons of butter or butter alternative and then serve
