Aroma Rice Cooker Shrimp Boil
This is a quick and easy shrimp boil with low calorie options made in our Aroma Rice Cooker.
- 1 lb shrimp
- 1/2 lb sausage We used Fresh n Easy Habnero Mango Chicken Sausage.
- 6 medium Red Potatoes
- 3 ears sweet corn
- 3 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 6 tbsp butter We used earth balance omega 3 butter subsitute
- 3 cups water
- 1/2 cup old bay seasoning
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Cut Red potatoes into 6 equal parts and cut corn on the cob in 4 equal parts or in half than 1 time lengthwise
Place Potatoes, Corn, and water in Aroma Rice Cooker on steam setting. Cook 5-7 minute with lid closed to parboil the corn and potatoes.
If using a precooked sausage cut it into around 1 inch slices. If using an uncooked sausage please cook till firm enough to slice.
Strain Water off of potatoes and corn and mix in 3 tbsp butter, all remaining ingredients and old bay then mix well.
Place rice cooker on steam setting again for 20-25 minutes until potatoes are soft.
add other 3 tablespoons of butter or butter alternative and then serve
